Today’s contribution for Zombie Week comes from author Mark Zahn, who was very kind about letting me share a poem from his book, King Pumpkin: A Celebration of Hallowe’en in Verse.

Mark says there is a story behind this delightful bit of poetry:
“My daughter has a birthday right before Halloween,” he told me. “So for ten years my wife and I would throw these over-the-top Halloween costume parties at our house. Likewise, I’ve always had a tradition going back nearly twenty years of composing a Halloween poem and sending it out to friends and family. A few years back, our party was zombie themed – and zOmbi pOem was that year’s poem.”
If you’d like to see more of Mark’s work, please check out his blog, Bloggery, or take a look at my interview of him here.
